The camp is going well and my first competition will be here in Tigne, France the 31st of Oct. Vonn and I will both be here for it.

You will need a frame grabber to digitize the analog signal to a digital format usable by the computer. Check the above link.

What if my laptop is fast but does not have an IEEE-1394 interface or a Frame Grabber?

You can use a composite video frame grabber that are available in PCI, PCMCIA, and USB configurations with prices starting at ~ $100 - The results you obtain are a function of the specific hardware you have and the available free space on the drives and the available free memory for video capture. These all make it very difficult to determine the performance you will obtain with your hardware. A PCMCIA IEEE-1394 Ratoc dv capture card for laptops is available at http://www.videoguys.com/ratoc.htm
